The first full PADI Certification - your ticket to exciting adventure in the underwater World.
The course is performance based, you get as much time as you need to practise your new skills prior to certification.

Who Can Do It

Ages 10+
Divers aged 10 - 15 earn a Junior Open Water Certification
All you need to be is comfortable in water!

What's Involved?

  1. Five Knowledge development sessions looking at diving principles and techniques - Video and Powerpoint Presentations + Knowledge Reviews
  2. Five Pool Sessions - Learning a set of 20 key SCUBA skills
  3. Four Open Water Dives - Demonstrating the key skills in the sea and catching your first glimpses of the underwater world

How Long Does it Take?

There are two suggested paths to achieve your OpenWater Certification:

  1. 5 Evenings ( 1 Evening a week) to cover the 5 Theory Sessions and 5 Pool Sessions. 1 full Weekend for the 4 Openwater dives + Hopefully fitting in your first dive as a qualified diver!
  2. The Intensive Course - Complete it all in 1 Week  arranged to suit you

When and Where does it take place?

We operate our pool sessions from The Tallaght Leisure Centre
 
Our Openwater dives are done either in 'Scotsmans bay' (by Teddies) or 'Sandycove' in Dun Laoughaire. 
 
Theory Sessions from 7pm - 8pm Water Time is from 8pm - 9pm 
(For intensive courses we work out side of these times, on request to suit you, limited only by the pool availability)
 
Where do you go from here?
If you want to progress and dive to still greater depths, dive wrecks, learn underwater photography, underwater navigation, peak performance buoyancy among many more specialities to chose from you can progress to Advanced OpenWater or Adventure Diver. For Any enquires Contact Us
